Sometimes clients who have a credit on their account might want to share their credit with someone else to use, maybe a member of their family, or a friend. You can use the Gift Card system from within Jane to create a credit that can be transferred between clients.
Step 1: Purchase Gift Card
The first step is to purchase a Gift Card on the client account that holds the credit balance.
Create a gift card and purchase it with the credit amount to be transferred.
You can name the gift card something like “CreditTransfer”
and use the client credit to pay for the Gift Card
Step 2. Transfer the Balance
You can use the “Transfer Balance” option on the Gift Card to move the credit onto another account.
View the gift card
and click “Transfer Balance”
And then choose the client who you would like to give the credit to:
Redeem Gift Card
An alternative way to transfer the credit over to someone else is to just use the gift card to directly pay off the visit without transferring if there will be no credit remaining after you’ve paid for the visit.
To do this, you can Redeem a Gift Card.
When you go to Receive Payment, you can Add a Payment Method and Redeem Gift Card
Search for the GiftCard by its name, and Pay.
